Planet in Focus. The winners.

Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival has announced its award winners. The champs were named during a ceremony on the festival’s closing night, Sunday, October 23.

Best International Feature
In Pursuit of Silence – Patrick Shen, USA

Best International Short
The Rainmakers of Nganyi – Steve McDonald, South Africa

Mark Haslam Award
Behemoth – Zhao Liang, China

Green Pitch Prize
The Soil Chronicles – Noe Sardet, Jean-Marc Abela and Sharif Mirshak
Honourable mention: Modified – Aube Giroux

Planet in Focus has honoured the 2016 Canadian Eco-Hero, the renowned scientist, broadcaster and environmentalist, David Suzuki and the 2016 International Eco-Hero, the filmmaker, explorer, and globally recognized advocate on water issues, Alexandra Cousteau.
