The Festival International du Film FReDD will take place in Toulouse (France) from March 31 to 9 April 2017.
For its 7th edition, FReDD has the theme “Seas and Oceans”.
The sources of life, seas and oceans, are central issues of the future of human communities. The seas and oceans vividly demonstrated the reality of climate change, the loss of species and fragile coastal areas.
Ubiquitous, they shape cyclones, prepare rains and welcome in their funds of living wonders. They are also the ultimate destination of our irresponsible consumption and the horizon of many people who draw their resources. The Fredd-2017 Festival “Seas and Oceans” dives into the marine world to understand the beauty, power, wealth and fragility.
Around films from around the world, everyone can meet scientific expeditions, decode satellite observations, and a glimpse of energy and food innovations. Numerous film, audiovisual and digital expressions will be associated with protection actions and discover the international cooperation that build spaces respected.
The festival will testify that, to think the oceans and seas in a sustainable development perspective, there are original cinematic creations, shocking and intelligent.
