6th DREFF – Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival, Santo Domingo

The 6th edition of DREFF – Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival, will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 13 to 18 September 2016.

DREFF aims to raise awareness and deepen the understanding a of environmental issues among Dominican audiences.

By screening a diverse selection of high quality films that deal with pressing issues, and by organizing discussion panels with environmental experts, filmmakers and other stakeholders, the Festival seeks to promote dialogue and inspire Dominican viewers to adopt practices that will ensure the country’s environmental sustainability and health.

This year’s DREFF in five categories, including Sustainable Foods, Biodiversity, Climate Change, Clean Energy and Sustainable Practices and Attitudes, will screen a total of 45 films.

DREFF is also proud to be the first to host the annual Green Film Network (GFN) Award in the Americas.
