Glimmerglass Film Days  will be held in Cooperstown (NY, USA) from 10 to 14 November, 2016.
An exciting long weekend of new narrative films, classics, feature documentaries, and shorts — paired with discussions led by visiting filmmakers, scholars, and experts. Several parties with local food and drink fuel this weekend of screenings, walks, discussions, and art exhibitions.

Curated by Margaret Parsons, founder and director of the film program at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C., this year’s Glimmerglass Film Days explores the concept of resilience in natural and man-made worlds, The theme of this year is “Against the Odds.”
Films uncover preserving Japanese sake traditions, tenacity of Babushkas in Chernobyl, deep links between African Americans and their ancestral pasts, and the founding of Greenpeace. We’ll also travel to South America in search of lost shamans, drugs, and cultures, and examine many other struggles closer to home.
