Green Film Festival in Seoul (GFFIS) is the first and biggest film festival in Korea focusing on environmental issues. Through cinema, the festival hopes to promote ideas of environmental protection and life respect to encourage public awareness and action for positive changes. GFFIS is an annual event with one international and one domestic competition among other non-competitive sections, and its 14th edition will be held from May 18 to 24, 2017 in Seoul City, Republic of Korea.

Non Competitive sections:
Sustainable Life – This section offers a collection of films seeking sustainable and alternative lifestyles such as eating healthy, well-being & well-dying, slow life and alternative architecture.
Green Panorama in Korea – This section introduces latest green films produced in Korea in the various genres.
Coexistence Zone – This section will showcase a variety of films dealing with a life that overcomes the anthropocentric view of nature and the universe, and enables humans, animals and nature to live together in harmony.
Eco-Ground – This section introduces both cinematically and commercially accomplished films that can be enjoyed by children and the entire family.
