The 14th Cineamazônia – Latin American Environmental Film Festival will take place in Porto Velho (Brazil) from the 23rd up to the 27th of August, 2016.
The call for entries is open and the deadline for submissions is July 1st.

Festcineamazônia wants to promote, showcase and reward audiovisual works of documentary, fiction, animation and experimental. The winners of the competitive categories will take the Trophy Mapinguari. The novelty is that for the award Best Feature Film, the main award of the festival, are competing only documentaries.
In competitions of medium and short film, participants will compete for the Award Danna Merril, Best Documentary; Major prize Kings, Best Animation; Victor Hugo Award for Best Fiction; Award Manoel Rodrigues Ferreira, Best Experimental; Chico Mendes Award for Best Screenplay; Award Indigenous Peoples of Rondonia, for Best Score; Silvino Santos Award, for Best Cinematography; Hood Award (Maurice Capovilla) language; Award Best Editing; Award Best Director; Award Best Actor; Award Best Actress; Thiago de Mello Award: Popular Jury (Trophy Hope).
The Cineamazônia Festival’s main objective is to make the junction between the Seventh art and the environment, disseminating and promoting the message of sustainability, respect for nature and tradition of people who depend on it.
