12th Green Film Festival in Seoul (May 7th-14th, 2015)

The 12th Green Film Festival in Seoul (GFFIS) will happen from May 7th to May 14th in Seoul (Korea).

Green Film Festival in Seoul is the first and biggest film festival in Korea focusing on environment issues. Established in 2004 by Korea Green Foundation, GFFIS is a festival that seeks to share the hope for a better world where all the lives can live in harmony with environment and nature. Through cinema, the festival hopes to promote ideas of environmental protection and life respect to encourage public awareness and action for positive changes.

The 12th Green Film Festival in Seoul is pleased to announce the finalists for this year’s Green Competition, the international competition category of the GFFIS.

Thanks to all your supports and participations, 1,166 films (377 features, 789 shorts) were submitted from 102 different countries around the world, helping our festival make a spectacular event.

After the preliminary selection, 19 films from 19 countries advanced to the Green Competition. These films will compete for four GFFIS awards:
Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Special Jury Award and Audience’s Choice.

The films selected for non-competitive categories, including special focus on various issues will be notified individually. The whole program will be released in early April on our website.

For further information about the Green Competition, please visit the festival website (http://gffis.org).
